Case Study:
Taking the burden: enabling employees to concentrate on more profitable activities
A top London Law Firm often provided accommodation for visiting Lawyers and for Graduates. Nothing unusual in that except over a period of time a single, very busy person became the ‘go-to-fixer’ for all the accommodation needs. From managing the odd
requirement for rented accommodation she was now trying to cope with 20 active rented properties at a time and do her important day job.
She was spending hours setting up properties with her known landlords and letting agents. Getting the tenancy agreements past busy lawyers, sorting out furnishings, broadband and the utilities. Then she had to cope with the on-going management and when the property was no longer needed she was roped in to manage the security deposit recovery.
MYTAS stepped in. We novated all the tenancies into our name, taking on responsibility for the rents. We set up new utility, council tax and broadband accounts, ensuring we took on the management and payment of them. In short MYTAS implemented a carefully
crafted plan that quickly delivered massive time savings.
Now our Law Firm heroine concentrates on her day job and delivers the accommodation strategy with oversight on the MYTAS
management. In a managed way, properties are slowly transitioning to a single monthly price and the Firm’s finance team are seeing their workload in processing hundreds of bills go down.
